Quality Assurance
Drawings and specifications are based on the Amarlite Impact 3000 Door and Framing as manufactured by Arch Aluminum and Glass Co., Inc.. Whenever substitute products are to be considered, supporting technical literature, samples, drawings and performance data must be submitted ten (10) days prior to bid in order to make a valid comparison of the products involved. Test reports certified by an independent testing laboratory must be made available upon request.
Performance
When tested in accordance with ASTM E283, air infiltration shall not exceed: .06 CFM (allowed) per square foot of fixed area.
When tested in accordance with ASTM E331, no water penetration at a test pressure of 16.5 PSF. When uniform design load is tested in accordance with ASTM E330, permanent deformation shall not exceed 0.549 inches (allowed). When uniform structural load is tested in accordance with ASTM E330, permanent deformation shall not exceed 0.192 inches (allowed). When tested under Metro Dade County, Florida, requirements for missile impact and cyclic wind load, results shall be satisfactory. Design pressure rating shall be +52 PSF and -67 PSF.
